My wife and I have been out of town recently busy celebrating nuptials.

There was a ceremony in Camas, Washington — close to Portland, Oregon — several weeks ago. We were able to travel to the area before the day of the celebration and spend a couple days in the “Rose City.” My wife and I are fans of the comedy show “Portlandia” so we found ourselves giggling a lot to our ourselves throughout our short trip there, recognizing a lot of the jokes — “We can pickle that!”

We couldn’t ask for better weather and the sprawling outdoor farm setting was beautiful on the day of the wedding. The ceremony took place in the backyard. It was simple, sweet and perfectly fit the couple’s taste and sensibility. After dinner, the party went late into the night with lots of dancing. My wife and I had a blast.

The same could be said for our most recent wedding trip that took us out to Boston. We spent some time in Cambridge but the wedding celebration took us to nearby Ipswich. This one featured a more traditional setting with a church followed by a reception at a country club.

This one, too, delivered a lot of good times, memories and, of course, dancing to Daft Punk and “Blurred Lines.”
