Our recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico earlier this month was full of extended family members and thunderstorms.

Here are a few snapshots from the trip.

We all stayed at Fort Marcy throughout the weekend. We had a beautiful, spacious two-bedroom unit that was — honestly — an upgrade from our L.A. apartment.  I was saddened by our check-out.

We also checked out the popular local farmer’s market at the nearby Santa Fe Railyard.

Old Town Santa Fe has some beautiful historical buildings, one of them being the Loretto Chapel. It stands at the end of the Old Santa Fe Trail.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is another religious landmark in the city and is considered the oldest standing shrine built in honor of her in the U.S.

And, finally, old Santa Fe offered us monsoonal-like rains and thunderstorms during our long weekend stay. It was refreshing to experience, as Angelenos.
