Bono, the lead singer of U2, said that the music group would not be heard from for a while in a recent interview with the Cleveland-based radio program “Guilty Pleasures.” This news must be sweet music to the ears of opponents of the super successful Irish rock group. I’m disappointed by the news. I’m a big fan and I always look forward to hearing new music from them. I guess I’m going to have to wait a while. But in the meantime, I’m excited about the upcoming release of From the Sky Down, their new documentary, that will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Achtung, Baby!, my favorite U2 album. If you haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer. The documentary opened the Toronto Film Festival last night and early buzz is good. I can’t wait.

How big of a U2/Achtung, Baby! fan am I? I’m expecting the uber deluxe box set to be delivered to my doorstep in early November.

The title of the documentary is a reference to how the band describes their songwriting process.
