I’ve been so busy trying to keep up with work, the screenplay and with P90X workouts I’ve neglected the blog. Shame on me.
I finally have a little time. Here are some brief updates:
It’s back to basics. On the drums.
I’ve started focusing exclusively on the snare drum and practicing rudiments. I’m hoping my strokes get sharper and my technique gets cleaner. The challenge is finding the time to practice. I’m hoping to steal a half hour here and there throughout the week to fine-tune my abilities. We’ve got rehearsals in a couple weeks, so I’ll be able to tell then if these short practices are helping.

Run, run, run: I finished a 10K run at Universal Studios a couple weeks ago at the “Say No to Drugs Holiday Classic.”
It was my first 10K ever and I think I had a respectable finish: 1:08:25.
The course had a challenging hill towards the end, but I thought, overall, it was pretty fair. Some parts of the course winded its way around and through the famous backlots of Universal Studios. My favorite was the “War of the Worlds” neighborhood site destroyed by a plane crash. It was incredibly eerie running though the disaster scene.

It’s Christmas: my wife and I got a small tree and some holiday lights for our apartment last week.
We drove to the Delancey Street Christmas tree lot in Culver City and picked up a small Noble. We’ve got a small apartment so we were limited in our choices, but I think we picked up a good one. Now, all we need is the rum for our egg nog.
