I finally received my uber 20th Anniversary box set of U2’s masterpiece “Achtung Baby” this week. It’s my favorite record from the Irish band. I haven’t had a lot of free time lately, so I’ve been unable to really enjoy all that it has to offer. And there are plenty of goodies to enjoy, like their new documentary “From the Sky Down.” I’m planning to completely surrender myself to it this weekend.
One early impression so far, the “Kindergarten Achtung Baby” record is really enjoyable. The “‘Baby’ Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses” is sublime. I like it more than any of the final released versions.
